PawShot (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile camera app for iOS and Android published by a small indie development team. This Privacy Policy explains how PawShot handles information when you use our app and visit www.pawshot.io.

PawShot does not require an account. We do not operate servers that collect or store your personal photos, sounds, or usage data.

Information we do not collect

• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not upload your photos or custom sounds to our servers.
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
• We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that track you across apps or websites.

Data stored on your device

PawShot stores app preferences and session data locally on your device using local storage mechanisms provided by iOS and Android. This may include:

• Your selected attention sounds and settings
• Custom sounds you record or import (PawShot Pro)
• Session photos before you save or discard them
• Subscription status cached from Apple or Google

This data remains on your device unless you delete the app or clear app data through your device settings.

Device permissions

PawShot requests the following permissions to provide its core features:

Camera

Required to take full-screen photos of your dog. Photos are captured on-device. PawShot does not transmit camera images to our servers.

Microphone

Used only when you record custom attention sounds with PawShot Pro. Recordings are saved locally on your device. We do not upload microphone audio to our servers.

Photo library

Used to save photos you choose to keep and to let you pick images for custom sound icons. PawShot only accesses photos you explicitly select or save.

Subscriptions and payments

PawShot Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not receive or store your payment card information. Apple and Google may provide us with anonymized subscription status information so we can unlock Pro features in the app.

Sharing features

When you share a photo using your device's native share sheet, the photo is sent directly to the app or service you choose (e.g., Messages, Instagram). We do not intercept or store shared content.

Children's privacy

PawShot is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above. Continued use of PawShot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
